cleaning the vents is like repentance

We had family coming into town for our daughter's baptism.  As i cleaned and prepared our home for guests and the luncheon to follow the baptism i thought of it like repentance.  Cleaning out the uncleanly to welcome those we love into our home is like cleaning out and changing things in my life to let the Lord more fully into my life. I also cleaned out the vents so we could turn on the furnace.  Helps me to see the importance of being worthy to partake of the Sacrament each week so the power of godliness can flow into my life as I repent and keep covenants just as the furnace can freely send it's heat and power throughout the house because the vents are clean!
